God Brings Martin’s Brother “Back from the Dead”

Martin Aboda, former LRA general and current security officer at Favor of God Ministries, was reunited with his brother, Peter Kidega, who recently defected from the LRA. Peter was captured by the LRA in 2003, and Martin successfully fled the LRA in 2006 after being captured in 1992 at the age of 8. For some time Martin’s family feared Peter was dead and had even held funeral services for him. And the prayer – dynamite! we know that we know God is doing kingdom business. In the afternoon, a 45-year-old South Sudanese Muslim man named Ishmael walked in the doors of the House of Prayer. He came in looking for Jesus. He walked down to the front, got on his knees, and in the midst of our worship – as we explained the message of salvation to him – he prayed to receive Jesus.  He began sobbing and...

Faithful Workers of the Lord in South Sudan

Isaac and James (not their real names) first engaged in mission work 11 years ago after finishing discipleship school in Kampala. Now by the grace of God they daily do the work of soul winning, discipleship and church leadership training for in churches inside both Sudan and South Sudan. They have been instrumental in solving longstanding community feuds and in engaging in front-line ministry to soldiers and all government leaders of the country. They have also planted a number of churches through the states of South Sudan. In addition to these efforts Isaac and James are both medical...
