A Village Church

Pictured on the left is Isaac, a trained missionary and pastor who is co-leading Favor’s work in S. Sudan and studying medicine. Earlier this year while proposing a church plant in a village outside Juba, he was driven out by the village chief who did not want a church to be built. The villagers, however, wanted the church so much that they attacked and badly hurt the chief, who was sent to the hospital. When he opened his eyes and saw that the doctor assigned to him was Isaac, he was amazed and realized he had been opposing the work of God. Now he enthusiastically supports a new church plant and is pictured here (center) after passionately asking Favor for the legal and financial assistance to construct a new church building!
