Accountability
It is important to the Favor of God ministry that we communicate the lengths we go to be above reproach in regards to spiritual, administrative and financial departments. We have outlined several parts of our accountability structure below. However, if you have questions please don't hesitate to visit our contact page with any questions you may have. BOARD MEMBERS AND GOVERNMENT STRUCTURE ‐ USA AND UGANDA
Favor of God Ministries has a Board of Directors made up of 3 members from different churches in Oklahoma, and an Advisory Board made up of ministries and churches Internationally, such as Family Challenge, Australia and Today's Urban Renewal Network in Los Angeles.
It is incorporated in the US and umbrella-ed under the group tax exempt status of the missionary covering.
In Uganda, Favor of God Ministries is also licensed as an NGO (similar to a 5013C in the US), and abides by Ugandan government law concerning a Board of Directors, Advisory Board. An Internal Management Team makes operational decisions weekly, comprised of the Acholi staff who are the department heads. The Management Team answers to the Board of Directors, who answer to the Advisory Board.
In both countries, Favor of God Ministries has a CPA and an attorney who represent the ministry from the perspective country, to make sure all details of the law and accounting are followed accurately.

Accountability In Giving:
‐ THE 5 R's
RECOGNIZE ‐We identify the area that money was designated for and we use it ONLY for that designation. If no specific area or item was attached to money designation, we pray for God's wisdom and direction, make a decision corporately by our management team on the area of greatest need on the ground.
RESPOND - This decision is then approved by the Board of Directors and implemented quickly, so money is not left sitting for lengths of time.
RECEIPTS - Every receipt is kept for each purchase made or service paid for. The receipts are filed with accurate book keeping in the ministry office and then scanned and e-mailed back to the donor on request.
RECORDS - All purchases or services relating to the designated money, are recorded accurately with names of recipients, donors, use of money, dates, locations, and projects or people for whom the money was intended. These records are also made available to any donors and networking ministries affiliated with that area of offerings or support.
REPORTS - These reports are given back to networking ministries and supporters on a regular basis. The reports include acknowledgements of the gifts or support, thank you notes from the Favor of God Ministry office as well as the recipients of the money. That way, ongoing relationships with the recipients is encouraged, if so desired by the donors. This is true partnering with accountability! ‐ John 4:36
RESULTS - Results of Seeds sown and planted are constantly Reviewed and Re-evaluated. Along with you, we want to see seed sown on fertile ground. If results of monies spent are not evaluated on a regular basis, immense waste can take place in the Kingdom of God! These results and reports will continue to come back to donors and partners for months after gifts or sponsor-ship is initiated.

Just one example : .... early in our relationship, we donated money for a generator and within two weeks, we saw the purchase receipt, a thank you note, and even a copy of the work order!
It was of course not necessary- but, it just showed us what Carole trains others in regards to financial management of donations, and other accounting practices, she and her staff do as well."

Through the Lord's leading, a few years ago we were brought into fellowship with Carol Vezey and the "Favor Of God Ministries" which is located in the city of Gulu, in Uganda, Africa. During our time of fellowship and prayer Carol told us of the vision and burden that she has, along with the others that work and pray with her, for the suffering People of Northern Uganda. The Christians of Uganda, as well as the unsaved people, had been through war, suffering, terrorism, and famine of the worst kind for more than two decades. As Carol opened her heart to us, we knew that the Lord was speaking to us that we were to be joined together with her, and with those who work and pray with her, to bring the love, mercy and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to the suffering people in Uganda.
We learned a long time ago that if a work for the Lord was to please the Lord, the message, and the messengers, must be the same. In other words the work of the Cross of Christ and its principle of self-denial must be a reality in the lives of God's servants. This is certainly true of those involved in the "Favor of God Ministries" with Carol Vezey. All true ministries of the Lord are birthed from Prayer and Intercession. And the Lord has brought forth a group of intercessors there in Uganda, which also includes the children that the Lord has given them to care for. We support and pray for them, and to our great joy and comfort they pray for us. If you are led by the Holy Spirit, we encourage you in whatever way the Lord leads you to join-together with "The Favor Of God Ministries" to bring love, mercy and grace to the suffering people in Uganda.

Carole Vezey and her team at Favor of God ministries in Northern Uganda are nothing short of inspirational. Their ability to achieve so much on minimal budgets, tenacity, and good will is outstanding, and a real testament as to their faithfulness as wise stewards. Of all the Christian ministries and non-Christian humanitarian services that I have worked with over the years in Northern Uganda, I don't know of another organization who has such a far reach into refugee camps and who have made such an immense impact in the lives of the Acholi people as Favor of God Ministries. Their humble and culturally sensitive approach to ministry is a breath of fresh air and a real example to others wishing to help transform lives for God and for good!

I was introduced to Carol by my pastor, Tom Mohn, who has known Carol for close to four years. Her calling and integrity are without question anointed by God. She has put her life on the line without complaint because of her love of God and the people of Uganda .
